Our Story

Twenty-five years ago, Little Pop of Joy wasn't a business. It was a Christmas tradition.

Every year, my mom and I spent time in the kitchen making treats with my kids - cookies for family, friends, neighbors, and teachers. One year, we added a homemade caramel mix of popcorn, pretzels, rice cereal, pecans, and buttery caramel. It was always the first thing to disappear, and before long people were asking for it by name.

What began as a family tradition eventually became a way to share a little more joy with people beyond our own table. In 2023 Little Pop of Joy officially became a business.

The name itself came from my daughter. I originally wanted to call it Taste and See, inspired by the Bible verse our business is founded on, but the name wasn't available. She kept brainstorming until she landed on Little Pop of Joy - and it couldn't have been a better fit.

I'm a registered nurse by day, so most of what you see here happens in the evenings and on weekends, in small batches, right here in Vail, Arizona. Nursing and popcorn have more in common than you'd think. Both are about showing up for people with something made with care.

We believe great caramel crunch starts with quality ingredients: air-popped popcorn, real butter, pure vanilla, and carefully chosen ingredients. No shortcuts. Just made the way I've always made it.

Whether you're celebrating a birthday, saying thank you, welcoming a new baby, or simply sharing a snack with someone you love, I hope every bag brings a little joy.
