About Little Pop of Joy
Our Story
Twenty-five years ago, this caramel popcorn wasn't a business. It was something my mom and I made with my kids at Christmas, alongside our cookies, for family, friends, neighbors, and teachers.
One year we added a caramel mix of popcorn, pretzels, rice cereal, pecans, and homemade caramel. It disappeared off the plate first. People started asking for it by name — and a little over three years ago, Little Pop of Joy became a real business.
The name came from my daughter. My first pick was "Taste and See," from the verse our business is founded on but it wasn't available. So she kept at it until she landed on Little Pop of Joy.
I'm a registered nurse by day, which is why most of what you see here happens evenings and weekends - small batches, made by hand, in Vail, Arizona. Nursing and popcorn have more in common than you'd think. Both come down to showing up for people with something made with care.
We keep the ingredients simple: air-popped popcorn (never fried in oil), real butter, pure vanilla, no seed oils. Nothing hidden, nothing you can't pronounce. Just made the way I've always made it.
I hope it feels like more than popcorn. I hope it feels like someone thought of you, because we did.
